Melissanidis’ phantom fine to everyone for AEK’s stressful qualification
AEK’s head of administration, Dimitris Melissanidis, went to the dressing room to joke with everyone after the stress he experienced during the game.
After AEK’s agonizing qualification for the Champions League playoffs, Dimitris Melissanidis was humorous and appeared in the team’s dressing room after the end of the game against Dinamo Zagreb.
“After everything we’ve been through, everyone gets ten thousand fines”was his opening movement, but it lacked the necessary aura of anger or seriousness to make it believable.
Of course there will be a bonus – and not a fine – if the team’s players secure participation in the groups of the highest club competition, as that is exactly what he demanded as administrative director of the PAE.
“Our big goal is to get into the Champions League groups” said Melissanidis, who warmly embraced AEK’s late hero Domagoi Vida.
