Journalist: “Dynamo and Dnipro-1 don’t have as much money as Shakhtar”
Football commentator and journalist Igor Tsyganik He compared the transfer policy of Dynamo Kiev, Shakhtar Donetsk and Dnipro-1, the giants of Ukrainian football.
The journalist believes that Dynamo and Dnipro-1 did not sign newcomers like Shakhtar, because the most banal thing is the lack of funds of the owners of these clubs:
“The main reason is not money. Dynamo and Dnipro-1 spent a lot of money on travel and other things last season, but they didn’t have much income this season.”
The journalist suggests that the funding Pitmen spends on the club’s newcomers comes mainly from guaranteed income from participation in the Champions League:
Shakhtar took first place and qualified directly for the Champions League, securing them $40 million. Shakhtar has the opportunity to spend some of this money on transfers. Today, if Donetsk Shakhtar were replaced by Dynamo or Dnipro-1, their bosses could get stronger without counting every euro.
I’m sure if Dynamo and Dnipro-1 had entered the Champions League, they would have counted on that money and paid for more expensive transfers. Now they have to make do with what they have.”
