Real: The Galacticos reunited two decades later, Beckham unrecognizable
The Real Galacticos met again at the Santiago Bernabeu, with David Beckham’s wool stealing the show.
Florentino Perez’s first term as president of Real was linked to the Galacticos era. The “Meringues” acquired the top football stars and the result was that in the early 00s players such as Raul, Roberto Carlos, Iker Casillas, Luis Figo, Zinedine Zidane, Ronaldo, David Beckham, Michael Owen and others wore the same jersey .
Some of them met on Tuesday at the renovated Santiago Bernabeu ahead of Madrid’s Champions League opener against Union.
Figo, Roberto Carlos, Ronaldo and David Beckham had the chance to say it again, in the place where they grew up and in the dressing room where they played their pranks before and after games.
What made an impression, however, was the image of the English superstar, who, like during his competition in the Spanish capital, had completely shaved his head.
