Lazio redeemed itself against Atlético by making it 1-1 with a goal from goalkeeper Provendel in the fifth minute of added time, while Feyenoord was beaten 2-0 by Celtic, who finished the game in Holland with nine men.

Incredible and yet true, drawn from the magic of the Champions League! Atlético looked like Barrios had victory in Europe’s premier competition in his hands in the 29th minute, but Lazio not only didn’t have the final say in the big Group 5 game, they responded in deafening fashion and found an unexpected one Heroes.

That was their goalkeeper, Ivan Provendel. The 29-year-old goalkeeper left his own goal to head home a corner won by his team in the fifth minute of stoppage time, headed after Luis Alberto’s kick and shot into the goal of Jan Oblak, who in the final stages of the game 1: 1 writes and knows the apotheosis of an entire stadium.

It is noted that Provendel became the fourth goalkeeper overall to score in the Champions League and the first since September 29, 2010 and Vincent Enyeama.

As far as the image of the game is concerned, it appeared that Lazio had a better image in the first half compared to Atlético, but the Rojiblancos took the lead in the dressing room at half-time thanks to Pablo Barrios’ shot in the 29th minute Camanda’s leg hit and tricked Provendel.

In the second half the game was exciting, both teams had chances to score, but the two goalkeepers Provendel and Oblak showed good shots and made saves. Somehow the game went into added time to make history.

Lazio took advantage of a corner, Provendel stepped up to find an extra man in the Spaniards’ penalty area and, after a precise cross from Luis Alberto, he fired a header past Oblak, leveling the game in the closing stages of the contest.
