Ukraine didn’t score any points and remained two places ahead of Greece in the UEFA standings
Shakhtar Donetsk were beaten by Porto, giving Ukraine no points, which remained in 17th place in the UEFA standings, two places ahead of Greece.
On Thursday (September 19th), AEK, Panathinaikos and Olympiacos enter the battle of the Europa League groups and meet Brighton, Villarreal and Freiburg respectively, while PAOK are guests in the Conference League in Helsinki. The aim is to maximize the harvest for Greece’s rise in the UEFA rankings.
On Tuesday (19/9), Shakhtar Donetsk met Porto and represented Ukraine, which is ahead of Greece in the rankings.
The Ukrainians were beaten 3-1, so they didn’t score a point and couldn’t escape. They remained in 17th place, two places ahead of our country with a difference of 2,475 points.
Everything is of course decided in the groups, Greece desperately needs to collect points to climb to 15th place and have five representatives in European competitions again in 2025-2026.
