Leao: “Milan will soon win the Champions League again”
Rafael Leao was convinced that Milan can soon return to the top of Europe. The Portuguese striker even explained why he had not considered the possibility of a move to Saudi Arabia.
Milan won the Serie A title in 2022 for the first time since 2011, whetting the team’s appetite for success not only at home but also abroad.
One of them is Rafael Leao. The Rossoneri’s Portuguese international striker set the bar very high in an interview with “GQ Portugal” and emphasized that the goal is to win the Champions League.
“Our goal is to win the Champions League trophy again. That is the dream of all of us and last year we were close, although Inter were clearly superior because they are a complete team in terms of the eleven and the bench.”emphasized Leao, adding:
“As a team, we have already played 50 league games and 20 Champions League games together, we have a certain amount of experience. We have to bring our freshness onto the pitch to achieve our goals.”
I renewed immediately and if I planned to leave, I didn’t. I want to achieve great things in Milan in 2-3 years.
I haven’t achieved enough to think about moving to a league like the one in Saudi Arabia. For me, a Champions League is worth more than a very high salary.
