Manchester United bid farewell to the legendary Sir Bobby Charlton in a touching ceremony
Chills and thrills filled a packed Old Trafford ahead of Manchester United’s clash with Copenhagen as the Red Devils bid farewell to the legendary Sir Bobby Charlton in a grand ceremony.
Sir Bobby Charlton, considered by many to be the greatest English footballer of all time, died a few 24 hours ago at the age of 86, mourning the island and especially Manchester United, with whom he identified his name and became its legend.
In fact, before the game against Copenhagen in the group stage of the Champions League, the people of the English club honored him in a very special way, as sad bagpipe music played during a minute’s silence while Eric ten Hach stood in midfield and left a wreath of flowers in his memory.
