The teams that can qualify for the knockout round of the Champions League from the 4th matchday of the groups
Matchday 4 of the Champions League group stage may also see the announcement of the first teams to complete the institution’s top 16.
The group stage of the Champions League is entering the 2nd round and begins with the 4th matchday, on which the first qualifying games for the knockout round may also take place.
Seven teams have the opportunity to mathematically secure a place in the institution’s round of 16 from the games on Tuesday and Wednesday and then fight for first place and a – theoretically – better draw.
The teams from the last four groups will compete against each other on Tuesday. In the 5th and 6th the situation is more tense and no group can be secured early, but the same does not apply to the remaining groups.
To 7, Manchester City have achieved the ultimate victories and if they beat the Young Boys in England they will mathematically secure qualification. However, Leipzig can do that too if the English beat the Swiss and the Germans Red Star. If only the first leg takes place, City will also top the group.
To 8th groupBarcelona also made it 3/3 and with a win over Shakhtar in Hamburg they will then qualify for the knockout rounds.
In Wednesday’s games, interest in the early qualifiers is split between three groups.
To 1Bayern have three wins in the first round and with another against Galatasaray in Munich they will secure qualification.
To 3rd groupReal also have an absolute winning record and by welcoming Braga to the “Santiago Bernabeu” they can reach 12 and increase the gap to the Portuguese, who are in 3rd place, to nine.
From 4th group From the 4th round onwards, two teams can advance. Real company and Inter are tied at the top and if they beat Benfica (home) and Salzburg (away) respectively, they will receive the two qualification tickets. The Italians will definitely qualify if they beat the Austrians, but if not, then neither they nor the Spanish will qualify, even if they beat the Portuguese.
