Regional Championship Team. Porto coach attacked Shakhtar harshly
Porto head coach Sergio Conceição gave an example of how temporary everything is in football, recalling Shakhtar’s last two matches in the 2023/24 Champions League.
“Let’s remember Shakhtar, who recently beat Barcelona 1-0 in the Champions League. They looked like an extremely underdog, regional champion team when we beat them 3-1 in the first match of the group stage. Now they are looked at completely differently,” Conceicao said.
After four rounds played, Barcelona and Porto are leaders in Group H with 9 points each. Shakhtar ranked third by collecting 6 points, while Antwerp, without a single point, closed the rankings in the fourth place.
