UEFA punishes PSG, Milan and Benfica for fan behavior
The UEFA Disciplinary Committee has punished European clubs for the behavior of fans during Champions League matches.
Portuguese Benfica had trouble due to the presence of their fans in the match against Real Sociedad in the 4th round of the group stage. The Eagles will have to pay a fine of 25 thousand euros in addition to fan support in the away match against Salzburg in the last round of the group stage.
French PSG and Italian Milan, who met in the 3rd round of the group, also caused trouble for their fans. Parisians were fined 98 thousand euros for fans who used fireworks, blocked passages in the stadium and rushed onto the field. It was also learned that the Parc des Princes will be partially closed for one match, conditionally, with a two-year trial period.
