Champions League
Paris is aiming to qualify with a historically low harvest
Paris Saint-Germain still have the upper hand to qualify for the Champions League round of 16 but are worried about their poor record.
Paris Saint-Germain saved a point in the 90+8 minute when Mbappe equalized 1-1 with a penalty against Newcastle on matchday five of the Champions League.
The Parisians still have the upper hand for qualification but need a win to be completely safe in the final against Dortmund in Westphalia.
Paris is currently in 2nd place with seven points, +2 ahead of Newcastle and AC Milan, who face each other on the group’s final matchday. So everything is open.
However, the Parisians’ seven points after five games in the Champions League is their worst result at this stage of the competition since the 2004/2005 season, when they collected five points. Paris was excluded at that time.
