The last 6th round match of Champions League Group C was played between Porto and Shakhtar Donetsk on December 13. The match ended with the score of 5:3 for the “dragons”.

Due to this defeat, the Ukrainian club failed to qualify for the play-offs in the main European Cup tournament and will continue to play in the Europa League in the spring.

The first goal was scored in this match Daniil Sikan after transfer Alexandra Zubkova.

Before Zubkov received the ball, the linesman called for offside, but the head referee of the match, Istvan Kovacs, allowed the section to be played.

After this, the referee double-checked the episode with the help of VAR. At first, this moment was seized with a pass to Zubkov and then to Sican.

Zubkov was not offside and Sikan was partially behind the ball line after Iskender’s pass. However, VAR drew a line based on the reflection of the body on the ground and only recorded Daniil’s hand as offside. As a result, the goal was counted.
