Taras Stepanenko celebrates double anniversary in Porto match
The match against Porto (3:5) became a double anniversary for Taras Stepanenko. The 34-year-old miners’ captain made his 70th appearance in the Champions League, 60 of which came in the main tournament. Taras became the 5th player of Ukrainian clubs to reach “70” in the Champions League.
In terms of the number of matches in the main tournament, Stepanenko takes 4th place in the list of guards, taking second place after Alexander Shovkovsky, Andrey Pyatov and Dario Srna.
