Josep GUARDIOLA: “Every victory is important for Man City”
English manager of Manchester City Josep Guardiola He commented on the victory (3:2) against Serbian Red Star in the 6th round match of the Champions League group stage.
“It was a tough match that required good physical preparation from our players. But I am happy that we won. I also liked the way we played. Sometimes they say these matches are not meaningful for us, but this is not true. Every victory is important for us.”
Thanks to the victory in the last round, Manchester City became the second team in Premier League history to score 18 points out of 18 in the Champions League group stage. Previously, this success was achieved by Liverpool in the 2021/22 season.
