Simone INZAGHI: “Diego Simeone is a great coach”
Inter head coach Simone Inzaghi said the following about the draw for the Champions League 1/8 final, which his team will play against Atlético Madrid:
“This will be a great match, where two top teams will play in beautiful stadiums and attract a large fan base. We are happy because we constantly play such important matches in Europe.
Atletico have reached the final twice in the last ten years and, like our club, they have a great tradition in this tournament. We want to try again to bring joy to our fans.
Also, Atlético is coached by Diego Simeone, a great coach with whom I have a great relationship. We won a lot together, including the Scudetto at Lazio (as a player in 2000 – approx.)
Now we are focused on the next month. We will have important matches in the league, the Italian Cup and the Italian Super Cup. Later, we will consider the preparations for these two matches. “These will be two wars and we will prepare for them very carefully.”
