UEFA may abandon new Champions League format to defeat Super League
UEFA is considering the possibility of abandoning the transition to the new format of the Champions League and preferring the current format.
According to Vozpopuli, European football bosses see this as a way to win the European Super League.
The Court of Justice of the European Union had previously officially ruled that the actions and sanctions of FIFA and UEFA regarding the founding clubs and participating clubs of the European Super League were unlawful.
Note that from the 2024/25 season, 36 clubs will participate in the main stage of the Champions League (formerly the group stage), giving four more teams the opportunity to compete with the best teams in Europe. These 36 clubs will play in a single league where they will compete against each other.
