Champions League
Villarreal loved Liverpool via his Twitter account
Bitter at being eliminated from the Champions League final, Villarreal acknowledged Liverpool’s superiority and not only congratulated them but also tweeted that they are a fantastic team.
The first part of Theramika in the second semi-final of the Champions League led many to believe that Villarreal could pull off another football miracle, ruling out a third straight beast after Juventus and Bayern to earn a ticket to the Paris final.
The situation changed in the second half, however, after Liverpool picked up momentum and produced a huge upset (3-2 win) that allowed them to celebrate a great qualification for the final of Europe’s top club competition for the third time in the last five years .
For their part, the people of the yellow submarine recognized the power and quality of the reds and showed this through a post they published on their official Twitter account shortly after the finale of the game, stating their characteristics:
“Villarreal would like to congratulate Liverpool on reaching the Champions League final. Good luck for the future, you are a fantastic team.”
