CHEREDNICHENKO: “Dinamo were ready for Hibernian’s attacking football”

Acting head coach of Dinamo U-19 Pavel Tcherednichenko The results of the rematch of the UEFA Youth League Champions Road 3rd round against Hibernian U-19, which ended in a 1:1 draw and the team advanced to the 1/16 final, were summarized as follows:

– We prepared our young people for a tough match. Hibernian played active, dynamic and attacking football, and we were ready for it. The opponent experienced more critical moments in the first half; We did not have time to change lines in some places. We made adjustments at half-time and improved the situation in the second half.

– What were the instructions in the first minutes? Because the Scots wanted to attack and score from the first minutes.

– Yes, from the first seconds of the match, the opponents had the intention of taking possession of the ball as quickly as possible and sending the ball to our penalty area as quickly as possible. Therefore, in the pre-match theory, we told our players that they should be ready to break this emotional dam and endure for the first 5-7 minutes, and then take control of the ball and play their own football. That’s how we dealt with Hibernian’s pressure.

– Dynamo had many scoring chances in the first half, while Hibernian had fewer clear opportunities. The second half starts with a goal from the opposing team, but Osipenko equalizes the score three minutes later. How much did the goal he scored change the opponent’s spirit?

– We entered the second half with a fighting spirit in which Hibernian would get tired, there would be individual mistakes, and we would play our offensive football on these mistakes. A goal against Hibernian was imminent. It took us three minutes to equalize the score.

– There was no player change from either team for a long time. For a moment it seemed like you didn’t want to destroy what was there. What was it really like?

– The guys had such an attitude because it was the last match of the year. They went through all the workload, all the training and as a gift, the last match of this year was in the UEFA Youth League. Therefore, character and discipline outweighed fatigue. We already made adjustments in the last minutes of the match when the players started to have cramps and there was a lot of running involved.

– Dynamo played 16 matches in the U19 National League and 4 matches in the UEFA Youth League in the first half of the season and did not suffer a single defeat. How successful was this episode of the season?

– Our team is not satisfied with the second place in the U19 National League, so we must improve both our game and our position in the tournament. Reaching the 1/16 final in the UEFA Youth League is a source of motivation for players to go through and prepare for training camps. Therefore, I wish everyone to have the best possible emotions and preparations.

– What are the team’s plans during the winter break?

– Upon arrival in Kiev, some of the players will return to the first team under the leadership of Igor Vladimirovich Kostyuk, while other players will have holidays and a planned training program for individual preparation for the training camp. Children will receive individual schedules and information about the date of their first medical examination next year.

Slim and closed stands. UEFA severely punishes Bayern for fans’ behavior

“Bavaria” Penalized for fans using fireworks in the Champions League match against Sporting – 3:1

Following the repeated use of pyrotechnics in the South Stand during home matches in the UEFA Champions League, Bayern were fined €50,000 by the UEFA Disciplinary Commission and the partial closure of the Allianz Arena (sectors 111–114) for the club’s next home match in European competition. The previously imposed suspended penalty will come into force after the incident in the match against Sporting Lisbon on 9 December 2025 and will be applied in the next home match against Union Saint-Gilloise on 21 January.

As tickets are not allocated to blocks during Bayern home matches in the lower tier of the South Stand and all 9,336 tickets for blocks 109-117 are valid, the club cannot technically cancel only 4,800 tickets for blocks 111-114. Therefore, as a first step, all South Stand tickets will be canceled and the club will refund the ticket price to the relevant buyers. All South Stand tickets will therefore be void and will not entitle you to a match against Saint-Gilloise at the Allianz Arena.

Ticket cancellations will be made on Friday. 109-110 and 115-117. In case of resale of seats in the blocks, Bayern will inform you about further actions and organizational details in a timely manner.

Anatoly TRUBIN: “It’s difficult, but Mourinho knows what to do”

Ukrainian goalkeeper of Benfica Lisbon Anatoly Trubin He believes his team can reach the knockout stages of the Champions League despite having just six points after six matches.

“We understand that we have put ourselves in a really bad and difficult situation with these four defeats in the first four matches. But we still think we can do it. We are still alive. It is still difficult because we will have to play with two strong teams (Juventus and Real Madrid – approx.).”

But as you said, we have a coach who has won a lot. And the last match for him was an anniversary match; 750th match of his career. So he has a lot of experience. And he knows what to do. He knows what to say to us to make us understand that we still have a chance. And we will work as one group; players, coaches, technical staff, everyone. Fans too. And together we can do this,” the goalkeeper said in an interview with On The Continent – A European Football Podcast.
