The PAOK program in Greece and Europe continues “uphill”

PAOK have seven games to play in a three-week period, including matches against Midland and away derbies with Aris and AEK.

Razvan Lucescu gave his team a break yesterday (10/2) as a reward for qualifying for the Cup semi-finals and today he is waiting for his players to start preparing for Sunday’s game (13/2, 17:15, Novasports 2HD and LIVE) start from Sportish) with Atromitos in Toumba.

From the moment the derby with AEK in OAKA, postponed due to Covid-19 cases, was set for March 2nd, the Romanian coach knows that the program that follows will continue to be… uphill and in every three days game takes place. PAOK must play 7 games in a 3 week period.

PAOK meets Atromitos in Toumba on Sunday. On Wednesday, after completing the preparations in Thessaloniki, the biceps delegation will fly to Denmark, where they will play their first game against Midtjylland for the knockout phase of the Conference League on Thursday (17.2.).

The local and special derby with Aris in Kl. Vikelidis is scheduled for Sunday (February 20th), four days later, on the 24th of the month, Dikefalos will play his second game with the Danes in Toumba. Three more league games follow with Ionikos and Lamia in Toumba for the last two games of the regular season on 27.2. or 6.3. in Toumba and in between the postponed derby with AEK in OAKA.

It’s understood that the endurance of the Biceps squad continues to be tested, however, Razvan Lucescu has brought more players into the rotation and clearly has more options. It is important to the PAOK coach to reduce absence problems as much as possible.

At the moment only Nelson Oliveira is on Dikefalos’ medical record and that is because Omar El Kaddouri has completed his recovery and is in the process of rejoining his side’s regular training sessions.
