Razvan Lucescu’s thoughts for the big game on Thursday (24/2) between PAOK and Midland have already been revealed and will be finalized in the last training session.
With a morning training session in Nea Mesimvria on Wednesday (23/2), PAOK will conclude its preparation for the finals on Thursday (24/2, 22:00 COSMOTESPORT 2 HD, LIVE on Sportish) with Midtjyl in Toumba, which will have 14,000 people Razvan Lucescu will have the opportunity to do the final tests.
Regarding the first game in Denmark, the PAOK coach has two returnees as Jasmine Kurtic and Giannis Michailidis were made available for the three-game ban imposed on him by UEFA for his dismissal in the match against Copenhagen.
Lutsescu’s thoughts on the decisive game against Denmark were largely expressed by the decisions he made in the last game with Aris in ‘Kl. Vikelidis’ and the way he managed his squad.
What will determine the initial shape of the biceps against the Danes are the decisions made in three of the 11 positions where there seem to be questions.
In central defence, they are looking for Ingi Ingasson’s partner with Angel Crespo and Giannis Michailidis, who are fighting for a place in the stoppers. The Spaniard has a clear lead judging by the fact that Lucescu didn’t even have him in his team’s mission for the local derby with Aris, preferring to rest him.
The same applies to the position of the midfielders behind Tsouba Akpom. With Andrija Zivkovic and Douglas Augusto considered unexpectedly ‘confident’, Alexandrou Mitritsa and Diego Biseswar claim a basic jersey. Again, there is unlikely to be a dilemma as the Romanian, like Crespo on Sunday, was rested and Biseswar played Aris throughout the game.
Where there seems to be a problem is on the left end of the bicep defense where Sindklay has the lead over Vierinias. The PAOK captain started as a key player at ‘Kl. Vikelidis’ and played 75′, with the Brazilian replacing him with Aris in the last quarter of the game. However, the truth is that Siddklay wasn’t at his best in Denmark and is also responsible for his team’s goal conceding, which ended up judging the game.
The other positions, barring the shocking unexpected, appear to be in place with Paschalakis at home, Lyratzi on the right and Ingason at the center of defence. Kurtic and Tsigaras will be in midfield, with Augusto in front of them. Zivkovic on the right and Akpom leading the charge.
