Kurtic: “I asked to take the last penalty to ensure our victory”
Jasmine Kurtic stressed after PAOK’s qualifying win over Midland that he had asked to take the final penalty to ensure Lutsescu’s side win.
Kurtic missed a lot in PAOK’s first game against Midtjylland. In Toumba, however, he was there and even took responsibility for taking the last penalty himself, which the Slovenian asked Lutsescu, as he revealed in his statements.
And he did it… to be sure of victory:
“Every goal counts but the penalty I scored against Midland counts even more. I’m proud of my team, there were times we suffered but we were all there as a team and in the end we got ours Goal achieved.”
What were the “keys” of the game:
“When I saw the first game I knew we had enough chances to qualify, I saw how the game went and I knew we had the quality to do it. Sometimes in football it’s good to suffer, they need everything, in the end what counts.” that we have achieved it, our goal is to qualify. “We could have scored another goal in the first half, we caused problems for our opponents.”
Because who chose the penalty series, the players or Lucescu:
“I asked to take the last penalty. To be sure of our victory.”
For the penalties he executes:
“A lot of people talk about the penalties but if I get the opportunity I will score, if the rules change and there are no penalties we will see what we will do.”
