Crespo: “As far as possible, preferably in Tirana”
Miguel Angel Crespo spoke about his dream of reaching the Conference League Finals.
Miguel Κngel Crespo helped PAOK qualify for the “8” of the Conference League with the goal he scored in Belgium. After the end of the game against Gent, the Dikefalos centre-back spoke about his big dream, his presence in the final in Tirana, but also the reason why there was a substitution at half-time.
Details of what he said on camera at Cosmote TV:
“We knew from the start it was going to be a difficult game. Gent changes sides on the ball to cause problems for the opponent. So we tried to avoid that and hit the counter or the static phases. The team did their best and deserved to qualify“.
For not playing in the second part: “I knew from the start that I had a problem with my adductors, at some point I felt that I was being pulled and that’s why the technical staff protected me. Where we are we try to be careful and avoid serious injury“.
Regarding his statement in the recent past that it was enough for him to qualify for the “8”: “The correct wording of the story is that I was asked if it was enough to go to the “8” of the event and I had said that it was enough to go as far as possible, ideally to Tirana“.
