Ofridopoulos: “PAOK’s qualification was a great success, Greek football needed it”
Socrates Ofridopoulos congratulated PAOK on qualifying for the quarter-finals of the Conference League, claiming that it was a success Greek football needs.
PAOK made history by securing qualification for the quarter-finals of the Conference League against Gent, where they will face Marseille for a ticket to the semi-finals.
Dikefalos is now looking ahead to the next game, this against AEK on Sunday (March 20) as part of the second game of the Interwetten Super League playoffs.
Speaking to Cosmote ahead of Sunday’s derby, Socrates Ofridopoulos cited, among other things, PAOK’s qualification, which he described as a “significant success” that will help Greek football.
“Before I say anything about Sunday’s game, I have to congratulate PAOK on qualifying against Gent. It’s an important achievement that Greek football needed.”
