Feyenoord – Slavia 3-3: The Czechs saved the game at 90+5′

Feyenoord and Slavia fought a great battle in De Cape and after six goals they drew 3-3 in the first quarterfinals of the Europa Conference League between opponents PAOK in the next round.

After a game full of upsets and Ibrahim Traore’s goal in the 5th minute of delay, Feyenoord and Slavs turned out to be bound 3-3 at Rotterdam’s “De Cape”. Potential opponents of PAOK in case of qualifying for the Europa League semifinals will finally settle their differences next Thursday in Prague.

The Dutch came into the field very strongly and were just in the lead in the 10th minute with trained Luis Sinistera. The 1-0 gave them the momentum they needed and they pushed for a second goal, but the Czechs were lucky at some stages (the hosts also had a goal with Orkun Kektsiou) and the difference remained minimal.

In the 41st minute, Peter Olaginka equalized from close range to make it 1-1 and sparked protests from Feyenoord, who saw the Nigerian striker offside. Both the goal and the frustration dampened the spirits of the hosts and gave the guests a boost.

Except for a chance from Guus Till early in the second half, which was converted by Ondrej Kolar, Slavia had the upper hand and after several attempts Gira Sor was crowned top scorer in the 67th. The lead only lasted seven minutes after Marcos Senesi equalized after some time and the 2-2 made the game interesting again.

Arne Slot’s players took over again in Cyril Dessers and Alireza Jahanbaks and in 86′ Kektsiou did better than in the first half and sent the ball into the net. The spectators at “De Cape” furiously celebrated what they thought was a winning goal, but they counted without Ibrahim Traore, who scored to make it 3-3 in the 5th minute of the delay.

FEGNORD: Marciano, Pedersen, Towner, Senesi, Malaysia, Till (64′ Thornstra), Aursnes, Kekciu (89′ Hendrix), Nelson (77′ Jahanbaks), Linsen (64′ Dessers), Sinistera

SLAVIA: Collar, Ba, Kundella, Katsaraba, Dorley, Talovierov (67’Lingr), Holes (90+1′ Madsen), Srandz, Traore, Olainka (83’Tetzl), Sor
