Paget: ‘I refused United to return to Marseille’
Speaking to RMC, Dmitry Paget referred among other things to the offer he accepted from Manchester United and other big clubs in January 2017 but decided to return to Marseille.
Dmitry Paget is without a doubt the star of Marseille and PAOK’s biggest threat for the rematch of the Conference League Quarterfinals in Toumba. In Thursday’s (04/14) game he will most likely have a backup on offense as Milik is expected to be ready to fight and even start as a key player.
The 35-year-old France international signed the Foca players’ superb win over Dikefalos with a fantastic goal from distance that left Paschalakis no room for reaction.
The France midfielder revealed that when he left West Ham for Marseille in January 2017 he had offers from other teams such as Manchester United but he preferred to be back in Marseille with his family.
“I’m not one to live with regrets. I have decided to return to Marseille, both for football and for my family. There were other clubs, big clubs. There was Manchester United and others. It was a personal and family decision. I think it was the best for me and my family‘ he mentioned, among other things, the proposals he had in 2017.
