Dutchman Danny Makeli officiates PAOK’s rematch against Marseille
Dutchman Danny Makelli has been appointed by UEFA to referee the match between PAOK and Marseille for the second leg of the Conference League quarter-final stage.
UEFA announced their definitions for PAOK’s second leg v Marseille at Toumba for the Conference League quarter-finals. The game will be officiated by Dutch elite referee Danny Makeli.
His assistants will be the Dutch Hessel Steegstra and Jan de Vries, fourth is Allard Lindout from the Netherlands. It is recalled that there is no VAR in the Conference League, with the exception of the finals of the event.
The 39-year-old referee has been used in four games in Greece in the last two seasons. This is the cup final Olympiakos-PAOK 1-2, as well as Olympiakos-AEK 3-0 (3/1/21), AEK-PAOK 0-0 (15/7/2020) and Aris-AEK 2-2 (24/6/20) in the cup.
