On the eve of the Europa League group stage Fenerbahçe – Dinamo 1st round match, Portuguese Jorge Jesus admitted that Istanbulites do not have a vengeful mood. The coach said that his team does not intend to face the Ukrainians due to the failure in the Champions League qualifiers.

“We were paired with Dynamo Kyiv again. There are always second chances in football. I think we are stronger than a month ago. Things happened to us that didn’t happen very often in football in previous games we played with them. We are stronger now. We do not see this match as a rematch. For us, this is a normal match like any other opponent in the group. In football you always have to respect your opponents. I also always respect my opponents. But I want to win every match.

We know that we have the qualifications and the ambition to make it to the playoffs from the group. I think the three teams in the group are equal. These are Rennes, Dynamo Kyiv and Fenerbahce. We want to start tomorrow’s tournament with a win. We are confident that we have the qualifications to win the next game,” said Jesus.

The match between Fenerbahce and Dinamo will be played on Thursday, September 8 in Istanbul. The start is at 19:45 Kyiv time.
