Europa League
UEFA Ranking: Croatia has overtaken Greece to 17th place
Olympiakos’ defeat by Nantes allowed Croatia to overtake Greece in the UEFA rankings.
The inability of Greek sides to win in Europe this season is reflected in Greece’s descent in the UEFA rankings.
Our country lost 17th place to Croatia after Dinamo Zagreb defeated Chelsea on Wednesday, while Nantes defeated Olympiakos in the duel between the two countries’ only representatives.
The bad times don’t stop there as Denmark remain in 19th place after defeating all of their sides but are just a draw away from their own breakthrough.
Turkey, Israel and Cyprus are a little further behind but with more or many more representatives in European competitions than Greece and therefore more chances of scoring points.
