Sergey SHISHCHENKO: “Something happened in the team at Dynamo”
Sergey Shishchenko, 46, drew attention to the actions of the Cypriot team after the match played between Dynamo Kyiv and AEK Larnaca (0:1) in the Europa League group 2 round. He also gave advice to the people of Kyiv on solving game problems.
“Overall it was a boring match. This, if we talk about an outside observer. Dynamo did not show great football. Let’s not forget that there is a good championship in Cyprus where the legionnaires come from strong championships like Spain and France.
I watched two consecutive matches of Cypriot clubs and I will say that I like AEK much more than the champion Apollon (I played Dnipro-1 in the Conference League and lost with a score of 1:3 – Sport .ua approx). AEK is a more organized, educated club. Against Dynamo, the guests used pressure and a high defensive line. The Cypriots played very compactly. That was enough to beat Dynamo. After all, we see that there is practically no real scoring chance for the Kyiv team.
Dinamo has been playing without a striker for the second year. But that’s not the real problem. I think something happened in the team. I think the club management should look into this matter as soon as possible. However, the question here is not only for the attacker – Garmash or Besedin. So what did midfielders, extreme defenders do? Not being in a team, it’s hard to understand what’s going on. Before the war, Dynamo fans were optimistic. He’s gone now,” said Shishchenko.
