Arsenal 1-0 Eindhoven: Xhaka signs 4/4 and KO qualifiers
Arsenal defeated PSV Eindhoven 1-0 thanks to Xhaka’s 70th-minute goal to earn the Gunners a place in the Europa League knockout stages.
Arsenal continue their frantic run in the Europa League. The Gunners hosted PSV Eindhoven in their postponed Group 2 game and won 1-0.
Somehow, Arteta’s side secured a ticket to the knockout rounds in Group 4/4 and are now the first to fight for direct qualification for the Round of 16. They are at the top with 12 points, followed by PSV with seven points and two games left.
Arsenal came into play strongly from the first half. He had possession for chances and goals, but that didn’t come in the first 45 minutes. Something like that happened in the 70s.
In particular, Tomiyasu filled the box from the right and Xhaka opened the scoring for Arsenal with a wonderful run shot.
