Camp Nou fans disapprove of Dembele over Napoli move
Usman Dembele is persona non grata for Barcelona fans and he found it in the game against Napoli when Xavi passed him as a substitute in the 65th minute and the Camp Nou crowd erupted in strong displeasure.
Usman Dembele’s relationship with the Barcelona administration is at its worst as he refused to sign his contract extension and opted to wait until the summer to go as a free agent and this has gotten the target of fans.
Characteristic was the fact that after the victorious championship derby with Atletico, Xavi rushed to defend him and condemn the behavior of part of the Blaugrana crowd, who erupted in disapproval when he entered the game.
Unfortunately for Xavi and the player, the call he made to stop being frowned upon went unheeded and Dembele relived the bad feeling he has towards himself, his own team’s fans.
Specifically, the Frenchman became a target as part of the Europa League game against Napoli when Xavi threw him into the match in place of Adama Traore in the 65th minute and the Camp Nou were rocked by disapproval of the ‘black sheep’ Blaugrana.
