Martins: “I am convinced that we will win with our world”
In his statements regarding the game Olympiacos against Atalanta (February 24, 7:45 p.m., COSMOTE SPORT 3 HD, Live by Sportish), Pedro Martins was in the concentration and performance that his team has to show.
Olympiacos welcomes Atalanta (February 24, 7:45 p.m., COSMOTE SPORT 3 HD, live from Sportish) in the 2-1 second leg from Bergamo in the draws for the 16th phase of the Europa League. In the standard press conference, Pedro Martins referred to the concentration and efficiency that his team had to show. He also stressed that Embila and Gary Rodrεςguez are fine, but stressed that he expects fair refereeing.
The statements of Martins in detail:
If you choose a different approach to combat, for Embilas and other issues: “Embila is available, he’s healthy and ready, like Gary, we’re fine. There is one strategy that we focus on and want to be effective. We will choose more important elements of the system.”
On hoping for a better result in Bergamo: “I think 2-1 is not a negative result. Olympiakos are better at home to play well, to be focused and strong and with our people at our side we will be even stronger.”
What must Olympiacos have to qualify and if it reminds them of the Milan game: “There are two things we have in common, that we want the win and two goals more than the opposition. The teams are different, as is the game. Our team has to be effective and react well when they lose the ball.
Interrupt the opponent’s transfers. To focus more on the set phases. Efficiency is important, we missed two chances in the first game and we can’t let them go to waste. We will have such opportunities tomorrow, we have to be effective.”
Going for two outcomes will be a trap for the opponent: “That’s the reality, there’s nothing else. Atalanta qualifies with a draw, I’m sure Olympiakos will play a very good game tomorrow and win with the presence of their fans.”
Whether there will be any changes from the first leg and comment on the referee: “Tomorrow you will see how we play. What I commented on, I did after the end of the first game. I believe there will be clear and fair refereeing.”
