More than 25,000 Eintracht fans in Barcelona without a ticket
Around 25,000 Eintracht Frankfurt fans are without a ticket for the second leg against Barcelona and the police are giving their management a headache.
Eintracht Frankfurt will have 5,000 fans on their side with Barcelona at the “Camp Nou” tonight (10:00 p.m., COSMOTE SPORT 3HD, LIVE on Sportish) with the first game in the Europa League quarter-finals ending in a 1-1 draw . The problem is that 30,000 fans went to Barcelona, which means there are 25,000 in the city without a ticket. The Catalan police are therefore concerned about their management and the fear of incidents.
Flights from Frankfurt have been full for several weeks, while thousands of Germans have arrived in the city since Wednesday night. Many had gone a few days earlier and some had even been in the Club Esportiu Europa match with Huesca B’ in 4th category. It remains to be seen if any of them will find a way to enter the stadium and what happens to those who continue to wander the streets. What is certain, however, is that they left with hopes of standing on the podium.
