Amrabad: “We will not defend, Almeida always wants to win”
Nordin Amrabat said in his statements to the Dutch ESPN ahead of tomorrow’s game between AEK and Ajax at the Johan Cruyff Arena, among other things, that Union is only looking for victory.
AEK play a final against Ajax at the Johan Cruyff Arena, with the two teams dueling to stay in the Conference League, with Union having a ‘cushion’ and a draw.
Nordin Amrabat said in his statements to the Dutch ESPN, among other things, that AEK will not defend and play for a draw because Almeida likes to win.
In his statements to ESPN, Amrabad said, among other things: Regarding AEK’s situation before the game against Ajax: “Our form is generally good. I feel the same way, but tomorrow on the pitch we’ll see what my form really is. In any case, things are moving forward. The coach makes a lot of changes. However, I always play in Europe“.
Regarding the differences between the first and second games: “Ajax are currently much better organized when losing the ball. He also enjoys his game more. You really have to ask yourself if we have the coach who can play for the draw. I do not think so. We have a coach who always wants to win. Likewise tomorrow. We won’t defend and play with time. It’s not in his nature“.
Finally he was asked about his future and whether he would return to the Netherlands: “One of the main reasons would be to be close to my family again. Of course Greece is a good place to live. But I haven’t spoken to anyone about a transfer yet.
But if I wanted to do something in Holland again, now is the right time. But I’m at a fantastic club with fantastic fans. Now I have to perform well and Holland will be discussed after the season“.
