Europa League
The money AEK received from the Champions League and Europa League
AEK secured a large sum by participating in two European competitions.
AEK has completed its presence in the Europa League and will not take part in a third European competition this season, having started its journey in the Champions League qualification.
The Union failed to pull off a miracle against Ajax and can now count on the money it gets from UEFA’s coffers.
AEK now knows that it has secured €10,790,000 and that is in addition to the market pool amount that will be announced in the new season, but it is estimated that it will be just under €2,000,000.
Specifically, the “Black and Yellows” collected 5,000,000 euros from participating in the Champions League playoffs.
Their elimination in this round took them into the Europa League groups, where the entry bonus is 3,630,000 (the 3,400,000 is paid as a deposit, followed by an installment of 230,000).
In the group, AEK scored a win over Brighton, which earned 630,000 points, and a draw against Ajax, which earned 210,000 points.
Finally, 1,320,000 will enter the club’s coffers, which is due to ten years of participation in European competitions, finishing 23rd among the 32 teams in the group stage, so the company will receive 10 “shares” of 132,000 each.
