Masouras: “As an Olympian, you can’t accept embarrassing exclusions”
Giorgos Masouras told COSMOTE TV that the side’s mentality will change after qualifying against Slovan given the crucial succession.
Giorgos Masouras, in his statements after Olympiakos’ penalty shoot-out win over Slovan Bratislava, stressed that this result will change the Red-Whites’ psychology, while he believes the team’s efforts have been rewarded.
What Masouras said in detail to COSMOTE TV: “THE Qualifying was the biggest success, I can’t imagine what would have happened otherwise. Everyone gave 100% for this qualification, our psychology will change.”
For his own penalty: “They tried to put more power into the penalty, to put it in the corner for a goal. This is football, we’re moving forward, all the time we’ve earned more and today our effort was rewarded in 120 minutes .”
Regarding Olympiacos’ reaction: “I take my hat off to all the kids who didn’t chew anyone from the first moment, we held our heads up, we persevered because as an Olympiacos you can’t accept embarrassing exclusions.”
