The referees of the matches between Olympiakos and Apollon Limassol
Olympiacos and Apollon Limassol have met the referees who will officiate the games between them for the Europa League play-offs.
UEFA notified the referees of Olympiakos matches Apollo Limassol for the Europa League playoffs.
In the first match, to be played in Nicosia on August 18, Spaniard Jose Maria Sanchez was appointed referee with his compatriots Raul Campañero and Inigo Prieto as referees, while Jose Luis Munuera was appointed fourth.
Georgios Karaiskakis’ rematch a week later will be led by Swiss Sandro Scherer with assistants Stefan De Almeida and Bekim Zogai. Fedayi San, also from Switzerland, was appointed as the fourth referee.
With Scherer as referee, Olympiacos lost 2-1 to Atalanta in Bergamo in the Europa League knockout stages last season. It is recalled that there is no VAR at this stage of the competition.
