Dnipro-1 captain Oleksandr Svatok shared his impressions in the Europa League qualifying match against AEK Larnaca (1:2 loss):

– It was the first official match after a long hiatus. Yes, we played friendly matches, but official matches are completely different. The opponent punished us for our mistakes in the first half. We came out in the second half and played our own game. Maybe some kind of cargo fell because they realized they had nothing to lose. It is a pity that so many created chances did not materialize. We will work on it. The account allows you to go to an away match with thoughts about a positive outcome.

– What did the coach say during the timeout, because the game changed a lot in the second half while the team quickly created a few opportunities?

– He said we started the game well but then lost the rhythm due to a few mistakes. He asked us to calm down a bit, control the ball more, play more confidently and shoot more often.

– Lots of recruits. How is the communication in the field? Are you all used to each other?

– We are not fully used to it yet, but we see that they are quality players. Maybe we need a little more time and we will understand each other better. They will tighten their tongues and it will be easier for them to play together.

– You reacted very emotionally to the goal scored. Was it a little easier after the goal?

– Easier, but in the second half we should have at least evened the score – there were enough chances to score more goals.
