In the first capacity group Olympiacos if it qualifies for the Europa League groups
Olympiacos, when it comes to the Europa League groups, are placed in the first capacity group according to the recent results of the Champions League playoffs.
Olympiacos meets Apollon Limassol in Georgios Karaiskakis on Thursday (25/8, 22:00, COSMOTE SPORT 1HD, LIVE Sportish) in the second leg in a 1-1 draw in the GSP with the goal of qualifying for the Europa League groups.
If the Reds and Whites manage to overcome the Cypriots’ obstacle, they will know into which capacity group they will be placed in the draw on Friday (26/8, 2:00 p.m.).
After the end of the Champions League playoffs, Carlos Corberan’s team will be placed in the first capacity group. He got exactly what he wanted from Wednesday’s games. That is, Dinamo Zagreb and Rangers, teams with more points in the rankings than the Red-Whites, qualified for the Champions League groups.
Olympiacos is the team with the most points in the Europa League playoffs with 41,000 points. So if they qualify, they will take last place in the first capacity group. He will avoid teams like Roma, Manchester United, Lazio and Arsenal, among others.
Confidently the first capacity group in the Conference League
The Reds’ scoring allows them to automatically find themselves in the top-performing bracket of the Conference League without the need for a qualifier combo if they are eliminated on Thursday.
Of the 62 sides likely to enter the groups of the third-tier club competition, Olympiacos has a lower rating than just that villa real, Govern and Slavia Prague, eliminating Panathinaikos. The Reds and Whites are fourth overall, so they’ll be a given in the first capacity group if they’re “relegated” to the Conference League.

Zinchenko announces Nottingham Forest’s Europa League victory over Utrecht
Ukrainian defender Nottingham Forest Alexander Zinchenko He shared his feelings after his team beat Utrecht (2:1) in the main round of the Europa League.
“It’s a great feeling. First of all, I’m back. Secondly, it’s an incredible feeling to win a match. Getting three points today was very important for us. As you can see, it was a difficult match. But at the end of the match, I think we got what we wanted and let’s continue like that.”
“As a defender you always want to keep a clean sheet, but unfortunately we couldn’t do that today. So it’s something we need to work on in the future.”
“This is one of those matches where whoever wins the most challenges in different areas of the field will win the match. Today we won many more goals which helped us a lot in the game. But to be honest, even the opportunities we created, including me, we should have scored and finished this match earlier,” said Zinchenko.
Nottingham Forest is in 11th place in the rankings with 11 points after 6 matches in the Europa League this season.
