Panionios on AE Mykonos’ complaints: “We are proud of the quality of the people in our team”
A few days after AE Mykonos’ complaints of a violent attack on football players and team members, Panionios issued a statement calling it “toxic targeting”.
AE Mykonos denounced incidents of violence after the tie against Panionios in Nea Smyrni, claiming that “players and team members were greeted with punches and kicks”.
A few days later Panionios was appointed and without accepting what the people of AE Mykonos accused the group of, he argued that it was “toxic targeting”.
Panionio’s announcement:
“In the past few days, after what happened in the game against Mykonos, we decided to quiet down. For us, it all ended with Vangelis Vlachos’ apology in our dressing room. We thought the same for the people of Mykonos when judging by the smiling posts on social media her photos a few minutes later.
The reports continued with them pointing out our team’s executives and footballers who were not involved in the tensions caused by a Mykonos player. The decision to include names who have shown who they are on the pitches for years, who have been honored and honored with the jersey with the Greek national emblem, who have distinguished themselves for their morals and character, raises questions for even the most honest sports fans Purpose of the above publications and their toxic targeting. The same goes for footballers who have a respectable track record in both professional and amateur football and have never given anyone the right to comment on anything other than their sporting performance.
Our dressing rooms, all the teams we hosted in the 3rd Bundesliga, they all know very well who they are and if they have anything to do with what has been portrayed in some media. We are proud of the quality of the people that make up our team and we will not take pictures that unfortunately we have encountered in so many places, we don’t need them, we are Panionios.
We remain focused on improving what we need to present ourselves as befits our federation in the continuation of the Championship. Let everyone go with the mentality they represent.
The continuation on the pitches…”.

AE Mykonos complaints against Panionio: ‘Well done’, our players and members of the team were ‘greeted’ with kicks and punches
AE Mykonos, in a statement it issued, referred to incidents of violence after the draw with Panionios, complaining that “football players and members of the team’s squad were being hit and kicked by racquets”.
Episodes of violence were reported by AE Mykonos in a statement following the draw against Panionios in Nea Smyrni, stating that “players and members of the team were well received with punches and kicks”.
Its President also made a statement AE Mykonos, Alexandros Koukas who argued that I got a glass of tsipouro in my eye as he tried to get into the dressing room.
Announcement from Mykonos SA:
“AE Mykonos expresses its great displeasure and disgust at the violent incidents that took place in the dressing room of Nea Smyrni Stadium after the end of the game with Panionios! It is unacceptable, after a game where nothing happened on the pitch, to have good guys “greet” young footballers with punches and kicks, as well as the other missionary members of our team.
Unfortunately, the initiators of the attack also included Panioni football players, specifically Lima, Bregou and Stoupis, who committed violence against their peers, while the instigator of the incidents was veteran Panioni football player Nikos Spyropoulos.
The statement of the club’s president, Alexandros Koukas:
“I am ashamed of what I witnessed today at Nea Smyrni stadium. I have been a factor in football for 35 years and I never expected that a historic club like Panionios would make a championship with Bravos and alcohol in the dressing room!Me I got a glass of tsipouro in my eye trying to get into the team dressing room! Luckily, the intervention of an older gentleman spared me the worst!
However, our coach, 3-4 football players and the team’s caretaker were hit by bats. When I asked a police officer who was there, he replied: “We are here, sir.” I think that at some point the state should take care of the matter and not allow such awkward situations to arise for members of teams who simply play football in opposing venues.
