Kroos questions Premier League supremacy: ‘They haven’t won an international title this year’
Toni Kroos in an interview did not share the opinion that the Premier League is a superior league while also referring to the European Super League.
Tonis Kroos gave a podcast interview. Real Madrid’s German midfielder has been mentioned in the Premier League, among others. He disagreed that it was the top division and stressed that no English team could win an international title in 2022.
“The Premier League hasn’t won an international title this year. TV money has been higher in England for years but that doesn’t mean English teams win everything. Luckily some players don’t just look at the paycheck, they look to win.” expressly stated.
Then he talked about the European Super League. He stressed that the idea will exist until it becomes a reality, without being able to pinpoint the exact date.
At first he joked: “Never argue with your President.” He then explained: “The idea is there and will continue to be there. It will take some time to materialize and as an active player I might not see it materialize. I think it will materialize but I don’t know when.”
He said about the World Cup: “The mistake with the World Cup in Qatar was made ten years ago.”
