Benzema has no ally to catch up with Paris in time
Karim Benzema has been training with his team-mates since January 23 and, according to a Marca report, it is certain that he will lose the game against Villarreal and he is extremely doubtful for the first game against Paris.
Over time, from 2009 to now, Karim Benzema has been Real’s most reliable choice for the position of centre-forward, while this year Madrid’s dependence on the France international is even greater.
Suffice it to say that in the 21 La Liga games 2021-22 in which he has participated he has recorded 17 goals and 4 assists in 1,708 minutes of participation, with the experienced striker being undoubtedly the main reason behind Carlo Ancelotti’s team has taken the lead for the title against the other contenders.
However, the latest news in Real’s camp regarding Benzema is far from encouraging as the player has been absent from team training for 17 days following the injury he picked up against Elche on January 23.
In that game, the Frenchman suffered what was then considered a minor injury, Marca stressed in today’s post that the player had a small tear in his bicep that makes Real’s people very wary to get back in action and there is a possibility of a repeat.
His participation in the forthcoming league match at the Villarreal headquarters (12/2) is ruled out according to the relative report, while with the data available a small miracle should be performed to be normal by Carlo Ancelotti in terms of calculating their first giant fight with Real Paris for the round of 16 of the Champions League (February 15 in the Parc des Princes).
