Barcelona 1-0 Celta: Seventh win in a row before the Clasico
Thanks to a 17th-minute goal from Pedri, Barcelona defeated Celta 1-0 at the Camp Nou and moved up to seven league wins ahead of the Clasico, level with Real.
On Saturday night, Real won away at Getafe (1-0 through Militao’s 4th-minute goal) and a day later Barcelona responded in a similar way.
Xavi’s side met stiff resistance from Celta but a 17th-minute goal from Pedri secured a 1-0 win, celebrating their seventh straight La Liga treble and going into the first Clasico of the season at the Bernabeu in high spirits. 16/10), level with Real after the first 8 games.
The Blaugrana came into the game strongly, looking for a win that would allow them to go into the derby with Real in high spirits and retain the impressions they lost to Inter in the Champions League and it didn’t take them long to do that Coveted to find gate.
That happened in the 17th minute with Pedri’s cross from the box (he scored 8 league goals with just 16 shots on target after hitting the net in his last four), with Barca dominating and in absolute control throughout the first half had, but in the second, which encounters difficulties.
And that’s because Telta had chances and threatened an equaliser, with the Catalans holding on to the gold 1-0 anyway and Ter Stegen keeping 624 minutes without conceding in La Liga to end the second-longest run after that of Claudio Bravo (also with Barcelona), who had played 755 minutes without conceding a goal between August and October 2014.
