Atletico have formalized Griezmann’s signing from Barcelona
Antoine Griezmann will be an Atletico player until 2026, with the Madrid outfit announcing their takeover from Barcelona on Monday.
The series between Atlético and Barcelona for the Anton Griezmann finally came to an end when the Madrid club announced the signing of the France international, who has signed a contract until 2026.
The France international will now be permanent with the Rojiblancos and not on loan from the Catalans. Atlético removes 20 million euros from the coffers plus four in the form of bonuses.
The original deal had a €40m buyout clause but Simeone didn’t use Griezmann for many minutes to evade that clause.
At the same time, the 31-year-old striker will put his earnings on the knife and sign a multi-year contract with an annual profit of seven million euros.
