Xavi: ‘If I think I’m the problem, I’ll leave Barcelona’
Xavi defended the work done during his time at Barcelona and made it clear in the pre-Clasico press conference that he will leave if he realizes he’s a problem for the Blaugrana.
Barcelona have won 7 and drawn 1 in their first eight LaLiga games so far and will face Real Madrid in Sunday’s Clasico, but the mood in the Catalan camp is not the best.
Caused by the 3-3 home draw against Inter midweek which effectively left them out of the Champions League game (if Inter beat Plzen at home next matchday), Xavi has been criticized for his decisions and felt the need to himself to defend at the press conference on Saturday.
“We can’t suddenly end the plan we have. We’re just thinking about work, I haven’t spoken to President Laporta. I’m very optimistic about the season and above all I’m a big Barcelona fan.”
I don’t see myself as a problem for Barcelona. If I think I’m a problem for the team, I won’t hesitate to leave.” stressed the coach of “Barca”, adding:
“We are very good in the league, I’m not going to stop working and persevering because I’m very cool and very stubborn.”
