Lewandowski: “A reminder to everyone, I won’t stop”
Robert Lewandowski was voted best striker of the season that ended at the France Football Awards and, with a post on social media, stressed that this award proves he’s been on the right track all these years.
Bayern forward for eight years and Barcelona for a few months, Robert Lewandowski received the “Müllerpreis” for the best striker of the year.
The Polish star, who was rewarded for a stunning 2021/22 season in which he scored 50 goals in 46 appearances for Bayern in all competitions, said on social media the award was proof he’s on the right track be.
“I am very proud of this award. Gerd Miller has always been a great inspiration to me.
Soccer is my passion. Nobody had to push me to do it. But I was lucky enough to meet people along the way who guided me, advised me and steered me in the right direction.
I want to thank all the great people from my previous clubs. Thank you for everything we have experienced together. I will always remember and cherish it.
My current team (Barcelona) is here with me. Thank you for your trust and the opportunity you gave me to write a new chapter in my career.
I want to thank my loving wife, family and friends. I love you all so much and I am here because of you and your support.
I would also like to thank the organizers for this award. It proves that I’ve been going in the right direction all these years. But I want to end with a reminder to everyone… I’m still going
