Benzema celebrates winning the Ballon d’Or with a goal and a hat-trick against Elche
Real’s run of form since the start of the season has been unstoppable. Ancelotti’s side triumphed 3-0 at bottom-placed Elche to extend their lead over second-placed Barcelona to six points.
This real doesn’t stop anywhere. His latest victim was Elche, where the Spanish and European champions beat La Liga three days after defeating Barcelona (3-1) in the Clasico and celebrated the Ballon d’Or in the best possible way from Karim Benzema and comfortably 3-0 won .
Real dominated from start to finish and laid the foundation for the treble in the 11th minute. Federico Valverde struck from outside the box with an elusive shot to take his tally to 6 goals in 15 games for the Merengues since the start of the season.
Until the 61st minute, Karim Benzema sent the ball into the net twice and Alaba once, but all goals didn’t count after VAR checked the phases, while Ancelotti’s players didn’t lose their concentration and clarified the game in the final.
The French striker scored in the 75th minute with a superb penalty following a Rodrigo assist, while the Brazilian provided his second assist of the game in the 89th minute as Asensio made it 3-0 to make it ninth in his side’s win the first ten games (he also has a draw).
