LaLiga teams are preparing for a strike on October 28
La Liga and La Liga 2 teams are preparing to go on strike unless the Sporting Code, which allows clubs to participate in a parallel league such as the European Super League, is amended.
The possibility of a strike “line” in Spain is open. In particular, there is a possibility that La Liga and La Liga 2 teams will not play on October 28 while a general assembly is held a day earlier, as reported by COPE.
The reason is the sports law, the article of which leaves a window open for the parallel participation of Spanish clubs in the European Super League. In fact, on October 17th, a meeting took place between La Liga officials and the Minister of Sport, with the request for his dismissal.
Delegates left the meeting satisfied but so far there has been no change and so the possibility of a strike on October 28 is on the table.
