The Barcelona players took to the field for the game against Almeria wearing shirts with Pique’s name on them
The game against Almeria will be Gerard Pique’s last at the Camp Nou and his team-mates wanted to honor him in a special way by stepping onto the pitch wearing shirts with his name on them.
Gerard Pique served Barcelona for a full 25 years and less than 24 hours ago he made the big decision to say goodbye to a great career in which he made 615 appearances and won 30 titles with the Blaugrana.
He wanted to say goodbye to Camp Nou in the La Liga game against Almeria on Saturday night (5/11) and his teammates wanted to say goodbye in a special way.
He was the one to step onto the pitch in Barcelona shirts with ‘Pique’ written on the back, even being accompanied on the pitch by his two children, and feeling particularly emotional in the last game of his career at FC Barcelona’s homeland felt Blaugrana.
