Gerard Pique caught the eye in his last game at Barcelona despite not playing. The 36-year-old defender was red-carded by the referee for protesting against Osasuna in the last first half.

A few 24 hours ago, Gerard Pique finally said goodbye to his Barcelona friends, played in his beloved team’s jersey for the last time at “Camp Nou” and said his final goodbyes on Tuesday evening in Pamplona.

Xavi benched him in the opening game against Osasuna, but the Catalan goalkeeper found a way to steal the show in his last game in charge of the Blaugrana: he saw a red card at the end of the first half.

Because he protested heavily at Hill Manthano against his decision to refer Robert Lewandowski in the 31st minute with the second yellow card. The referee punishes Pique for his aggressive behavior by showing him the way to the dressing room.

With that red card in the last game of his career, Pique Hristo equaled Stojskov’s record for the most dismissals in official Blaugrana games in its 123-year history.

The Catalan now has 11 layoffs, as many as the Bulgarian forward did when he was at Barca, with Pep Guardiola next on the list after seeing nine red cards as a Barcelona player.
